City Parks
Rio Vista has a number of family-friendly parks scattered throughout the city. Each has a specific use, and may or may not have equipment.
Boat Launch: Located behind City Hall off Front Street. Amenities: two-boat launch ramp, large parking area, picnic tables, restrooms
Bruning Park – or – City Park: Located on Montezuma and Third Streets. Amenities: large picnic area with BBQs; children’s playground with structure; swimming pool – open in summer only; large grassy area.
Crescent Park: Located on Crescent Drive north of Front Street. Amenities: play equipment, basketball hoop, small.
Drouin Park: Located on Drouin Drive north of Main. Amenities: used for soccer practice. Small children’s play area.
Egbert Field: Located on St. Francis Way, north of Virginia. Amenities: baseball diamonds with snack bar; also used for soccer.
Homecoming Park: Located on Madere Way in the Homecoming subdivision. Amenities: grassy play area and children’s play equipment.
Liberty neighborhood Park: Located on McCormack Road and Province Path
Memorial Park: Located at City Hall at the foot of Main Street. Amenities: monuments and the Memorial Tree. Views of the Sacramento River, benches, boat dock
Val de Flores Park: Located on Scott Way next door to DH White School. Amenities: grassy play area. The new Skate Park and Dog Park were officially opened on September 9, 2018.
Waterfront Promenade: Located on the waterfront between the Rio Vista Bridge and Front Street. Amenities: picnic tables, restrooms, fish-cleaning station, walkway, fishing pier.
